Minnesota Power - Residential New Construction Rebate Program

Through Minnesota Power's Triple E New Construction Program, homeowners and builders can qualify for special incentive rebates by meeting specific energy standards on new home construction. These standards cover thermal integrity (insulation, windows and doors, exterior wind barriers), airtight construction, moisture control, appliances, lighting, ventilation, and heating system performance for air and water. Barron Electric Cooperative - ENERGY STAR Appliance, Energy Efficient Lighting, HVAC and Water Heater Rebate Program

Barron Electric Cooperative (BEC) offers rebates to any member receiving electrical service for the purchase of Energy Star appliances, energy efficient lighting, heat pumps and water heaters. All appliance rebates are $25 dollars, and additional $25 rebate is available for refrigerator, freezer, or room air conditioner recycling. The Edison Innovation Clean Energy Manufacturing Fund (CEMF) is intended to provide assistance for the manufacturing of energy efficient and renewable energy products that will assist Class I renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in becoming competitive with traditional sources of electric generation. Grayson Rural Electric Cooperative - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Grayson Rural Electric Cooperative provides a variety of rebates to its residential customers for increasing their energy efficiency. This includes the Heat Pump Retrofit Program, the Button-Up Weatherization Program, and the ENERGY STAR Manufactured Home Program. Additionally, GREC provides the SimpleSaver program, which gives rebates to customers who reduce their use of air conditioners during peak times. GREC also provides the Community Assistance Resources for Energy Savings (CARES) program, which provides an incentive of up to $2,000 to households for weatherization and energy efficiency measures through their local Kentucky Community Action Agencies (CAA) network. Hamilton County - Home Improvement Program

The Home Improvement Program (HIP) in Hamilton County, Ohio, originally opened in 2002, and was reinstated in May 2008. The HIP loan allows homeowners in Hamilton County communities to borrow money to repair or remodel homes or rental property at interest rates 3% below the lowest rate a bank would normally offer. The following banks participate: Fifth Third Bank, U.S. Bank, KeyBank, North Side Bank and First Safety Bank. The HIP loan is usually structured as a home equity loan, secured by a second mortgage on the property. Credit requirements apply.

Puerto Rico - Solar and Wind Contractor Certification

In October 2008, the Energy Affairs Administration (EAA) of Puerto Rico adopted regulations for the certification of photovoltaic (PV) systems and installers in response to the passing of Act No. 248, which required that PV systems be certified and installed by certified installers in order to be eligible for the newly established tax credits (that have since been repealed). With the passing of this regulation, only certified installers may install photovoltaic (PV) systems in Puerto Rico. In January 2010, additional regulations were passed that required wind turbine installers to be certified in order to install wind systems as well.

City of Chandler - Green Building Requirement for City Buildings

The mayor and city council of Chandler, AZ adopted Resolution 4199 in June 2008, establishing a requirement for all new occupied city buildings larger than 5,000 square feet to be designed and built to achieve the Silver level of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification program, and to strive for higher levels of certification whenever project resources and conditions permit.
