Dominion Energy - Residential Solar Assisted Water Heating Rebate Program

Dominion Energy provides incentives for residential customers to purchase and install solar water heating systems (both for domestic and pool heating uses) in their newly-constructed homes. Rebates of $750 per system are provided to customers of Dominion Energy who install solar panels backed up by gas water heaters. 

To be eligible, customer must include with their applications an invoice or receipt that shows purchase date, price, and a description of the equipment, and submit that application within six (6) months of installation. The six (6) month requirement is retroactive for all systems prior to the rule change, which took effect

Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative - Renewable Energy Rebates

The Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVEC) offers rebates to its member customers for the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar water heaters and solar water wells  within its service territory. Rebate amounts and limitations vary by technology.

In order to qualify for a rebate, systems must be new and meet a variety of equipment, warranty, and installation requirements that vary by technology. All units must be installed by a program approved contractor according to the manufacturer's specified procedures and codes.

Grid-connected renewable electricity systems must meet the standards of the National Electric Code (NEC) as well as the GVEC's own

El Paso Electric Company - Small and Medium System Renewable Energy Certificate Purchase Program

Since January 2010, El Paso Electric has purchased renewable energy certificates (RECs) from its New Mexico customers who install small photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind systems. The RECs that El Paso Electric purchases will help the utility comply with New Mexico's renewable portfolio standard (RPS) in exchange for a financial incentive to homeowners and businesses who install PV and wind energy systems.

Only systems connected to the utility's grid and net-metered are eligible. RECs will be measured by a separate REC meter and purchased by El Paso Electric on a monthly basis. For contracts signed on or after January 1

Minnesota Energy Resources (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Minnesota Energy Resources provides rebates to residential customers for the purchase of energy efficient equipment. Rebates are available for a variety of energy efficiency measures, including furnaces, boilers, integrated space and water heating systems, programmable thermostats, water heaters (tank and tankless), clothes washers, and drain water heat recovery devices. All equipment must meet certain efficiency standards listed on the program website. Purchases qualify for both new homes and renovations. Colorado Natural Gas - Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Colorado Natural Gas offers the Excess is Out Program for residential and commercial customers in Colorado.

Residential Customers

For residential customers, begin by requesting a free energy audit from Colorado Natural Gas. This service offers a complete evaluation of your home's energy efficiency. The auditor will install natural gas conservation measures at no cost to you. To be eligible for an audit customers must meet the following criteria:

  • You are a residential customer of Colorado Natural Gas
  • Your home is heated with natural gas
  • Your home is at least 10 years old
  • You have not received an audit from this

GreyStone Power - Photovoltaic Rebate Program

GreyStone Power, an electricity cooperative in Georgia, offers a rebate for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to members. The one-time rebate is offered for PV installations that are interconnected and net-metered. The rebate is equal to $450 per kilowatt (kW) AC for systems up to 10 kilowatts (kW) in capacity.

GreyStone Power - Solar Water Heating Program

GreyStone Power, an electricity cooperative serving 103,000 customers in Georgia, introduced a solar water heating rebate in March 2009. This $500 rebate is available to customers regardless of their current method of heating water. A list of preferred contractors is provided by GreyStone.

Consolidated Electric Cooperative - Residential Rebate Program

Consolidated Electric Cooperative provides rebates to residential customers who install heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, water heaters, level-2 EV chargers, ENERGY-STAR refrigerators and smart thermostats.

Baltimore Gas & Electric Company - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

The Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE) offers rebates for residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of eligible homes. Rebates are available for ENERGY STAR clothes washers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, freezers, CFLs, HVAC systems, and Building Insulation. The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR incentive Program also provides residential incentives including envelope and HVAC systems. The CFL rebates are given in the form of a marked-down price at participating retailers. All equipment must meet program efficiency requirements and all necessary documentation must accompany upgrades.

Through the Home Performance with Energy Star program customers can qualify for rebates averaging $3,000. Learn more
