Harrison County REMC offers rebates for residential customers to save energy in new or existing homes. Rebates are available for heat pumps, electric outdoor equipment, and heat pump water heaters. All rebates will be listed as a billing credit on the member's account. Members can complete the rebate request form and return it to the REMC office. Nine Star Connect (Greenfield and Maxwell, IN) offers residential customers an incentive to buy energy-efficient air-source heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and programmable thermostats. All equipment must meet minimum efficiency standards. Contact the utility for more information.
Carroll County REMC offers incentives to residential customers who purchase and install energy efficiency equipment for the home. Rebates are available on geothermal heat pumps and air source heat pumps. Interested customers can visit the program web site for more information. WIN Energy REMC offers rebates to customers for energy efficient improvements. Rebates must be submitted in person, within 30 days of the equipment installation date. All rebate requests must include a bill of sale with the following information: Installation date, model and serial number, speed of unit, SEER rating, size of equipment (tons), previous type of heating system, and location where the unit was installed. Southern Indiana Rural Electric Coop offers an incentive program for customers to help offset the cost of high efficiency heating and cooling equipment. Rebates are available for energy efficiency water heaters; air-source, dual fuel, and geothermal heat pumps. Equipment can be installed in new construction or an existing home or mobile home. Rebate amounts vary depending on equipment efficiency, installation location, and capacity. Interested customers should complete an application form and send it in with the original product receipt/invoice. All rebate applications for water heaters and heat pumps must be completed and returned to the Southern Indiana Power office within
