Sustainable Building Design Revolving Loan Fund

The ABA Revolving Loan Fund is an interest free loan program adopted by the Arkansas General Assembly through Act 1372 of 2009.  The loan program provides a funding mechanism for state agencies, boards, and commissions, including institutions of higher learning who own their own facilities and for renovations which exceed $250,000. The ABA Revolving Loan Fund was funded by a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and contributions from the State of Arkansas (Governor’s General Improvement Funds).   Funds are available on a continuing bases.

National Grid (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs (Metro New York)

Limited time rebates are available on high-efficiency gas equipment until 08/31/2022.

National Grid’s High Efficiency Heating Rebates are offered to residential gas heating customers in the New York City metro area including Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.  Rebates vary depending on equipment type and where customers live. All equipment must meet efficiency standards provided on the website. 

Applications are to be completed and sent in after equipment installation. Eligible equipment includes high efficiency heating equipment (boilers and furnaces), indirect water heaters, wifi thermostats, home air sealing measures, heating duct insulation and air sealing. Fix-Up Loan

The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency's (MHFA) Fix-up Loan provides low-interest financing for energy conservation and other basic improvements to residential properties.  Loans are available for up to $75,000. To be eligible for the loan, the home must be occupied by the property owner.

Income Tax Deduction for Energy-Efficient Products

Taxpayers in Virginia may deduct from their taxable personal income an amount equal to 20% of the sales taxes paid for certain energy efficient equipment. The incentive is capped at $500. This incentive is available for the following equipment types:

  • clothes washers
  • room air conditioners
  • dishwashers
  • standard size refrigerators
  • Any fuel cell that generates electricity using an electrochemical process, has an electricity-only generation efficiency greater than 35 percent, and has a generating capacity of at least two kilowatts 
  • Any gas heat pump that has a coefficient of performance of at least 1.25 for heating and at least 0.70 for cooling

USDA - High Energy Cost Grant Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) offers an ongoing grant program for the improvement of energy generation, transmission, and distribution facilities in rural communities. This program began in 2000. Eligibility is limited to projects in communities that have average home energy costs at least 275% above the national average. Retail power suppliers serving rural areas are eligible to apply for grant funding, including non-profits (cooperatives and limited dividend or mutual associations), commercial entities, state and local governments entities

Mohave Electric Cooperative - Renewable Energy Incentive Program

Mohave Electric Cooperative provides incentives for its customers to install renewable energy systems on their homes and businesses. Mohave Electric Cooperative will provide rebates for residential and small commercial photovoltaic (PV) and wind systems. Rebates for solar water heating are available only for residential systems. Customers must meet all the applicable terms and conditions and submit the appropriate forms provided at the website listed above.

(Electric and Gas) Residential New Construction Program

The Energize CT program has an offering designed to encourage the construction of energy efficient homes. The Residential New Construction Program offers incentives targeted at increasing energy efficiency in several important stages in the construction process. Certified HERS raters work with customers' building teams throughout construction. Program incentives vary based upon the final HERS scores, and whether dwelling is a single or multi-family residence.

Baltimore County - Property Tax Credit for High Performance Buildings and Homes

The state of Maryland permits local governments (Md Code: Property Tax § 9-242) to offer property tax credits for high performance buildings if they choose to do so. Baltimore County exercised this option in 2006 by creating property tax credits for new and existing multi-family residential (50+ units) and commercial buildings that meet certain high performance building standards. In 2008, the county also adopted a similar provision creating property tax credits for newly constructed high performance homes, and in 2010 added provisions for energy efficiency improvements in existing homes.

(Electric and Gas ) Home Energy Solutions Rebate Program

Energize Connecticut, funded by Connecticut's public benefits charge, provides home energy efficiency rebate programs to customers of Connecticut Light and Power Company, United Illuminating Company, Connecticut Natural Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas, and Yankee Gas customers. Owatanna Public Utilities - Solar Rebate Program

Owatanna Public Utilities provides incentives for their residential and commercial customers to install photovoltaic (PV) and solar water heating systems. Qualifying PV systems can earn a flat rebate of $500; eligible solar water heating systems can earn $15 per square foot of collector area.

In order to obtain eligibility, customers must agree to a net-metering and interconnection contract with Owatanna Public Utilities. An energy audit must be performed prior to system installation and results shared with OPU.
