(Electric and Gas) Residential Rebate Program

The Energize Connecticut (CT) program is a joint initiative between the CT Energy Efficiency Fund, CT Green Bank, the State of CT and local/state electric and gas utilities designed to provide businesses and residents of CT access to resources needed to save energy. Within this program are rebates offered for Eversource, United Illuminating (UI), CT Natural Gas (CNG), and Southern CT Gas Company (SCG) customers.

Noble REMC - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Incentives

Through Wabash Valley Power Association's POWER MOVES program, Noble REMC offers residential rebates. Incentives are provided for heat pumps, water heaters, heating and cooling/ HVAC systems, and whole building measures. Local Option- Renewable Energy Machinery and Tools Property Tax Exemption

HB 1297, enacted in March 2015, provides an option for the local governing body of any county, city, or town to impose a different property tax on renewable energy generating machinery and tools than other normal use machinery. The rate of property tax imposed must not exceed that is applicable to the general class of machinery and tools.

An SREC is a tradable commodity that represents the renewable attributes of one megawatt-hour (MWh) of electricity generated from a solar energy resource (it does not include the energy or capacity aspect of the system)
