Southeast Colorado Power Association - Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Southeast Colorado Power Association (SECPA) offers a variety of rebates to customers who purchase and install energy efficient appliances, motors and HVAC equipment. Commercial and residential customers are eligible for these rebates. All efficiency requirements and program procedures must be met in order to be eligible for rebate payment. Some rebates on pieces of equipment vary by size, capacity, or efficiency. City of Cleveland - Residential Property Tax Abatement for Green Buildings

Note: Cleveland's tax abatement was overhauled by Ordinance 482-2022, effective January 1, 2024. 

The City of Cleveland, in cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Auditor's Office, provides a 10 to 15 year 100% tax abatement for increases in assessed real estate value for eligible residential projects. All projects are required to be built to the Cleveland Green Building Standard.  Abatements are available to both homeowners and developers. FirstEnergy (MetEdison, Penelec, Penn Power, West Penn Power) - Residential Energy Efficiency Programs

First Energy as a parent company administers the energy efficiency program for Metropolitan Edition (Met-Ed), Pennsylvania Electric (Penelec), Pennsylvania Power (Penn Power), and West Penn Power.  The program summarizes most of the programs offered by these utilities, the actual incentives might vary between the electric utilities. 

Energy Efficiency Kit Program: Residential customers of FirstEnergy's Pennsylvania utilities are eligible to receive an energy efficiency kit. There is no fee for this kit and it will be shipped directly to your home so you can begin saving energy and reduce your utility bill. Request a kit here.

Columbia Gas of Virginia - Home Savings Rebate Program

Columbia Gas of Virginia offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase and installation of energy efficient appliances and equipment. Furnaces, windows, and smart thermostats are available for cash rebates. All efficiency and performance requirements must be met in order to receive rebate. Some installation requirements also apply. Piedmont Natural Gas - Residential Equipment Efficiency Program

Piedmont Natural Gas offers a rebate to residential customers for purchasing and installing high-efficiency natural gas tankless water heaters. This program is only available to current Piedmont residential and commercial customers in good standing. Equipment must be listed as eligible for rebate and installed during the rebate period prior to application submission. New construction not eligible. Catawba County - Green Construction Permitting Incentive Program

Catawba County is providing incentives to encourage the construction of sustainably built homes and commercial buildings. Rebates on permit fees and plan reviews are available for certain qualifying structures and renewable energy projects. Buildings designed and constructed in accordance with the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), NC HealthyBuilt Homes, Energy Star, or the National Association of Home Builders' Model Green Home Building Guidelines can receive a 25% blanket permit fee rebate, not to exceed $500. Catawba County will also rebate 50% of fees related to plan review or express plan review for commercial buildings

California Solar Initiative - Solar Thermal Program

Note: The CSI-Thermal Program closed to new applications on July 31, 2020. Applicants with projects that have received a confirmed reservation are still able to complete their projects and submit their Incentive Claim within their 18-month reservation window. AB 1470 of 2007 authorized the creation of a $350 million incentive program for solar water heating systems. Of the $350 million in total funding, $25 million is reserved for low-income incentives, $225 million is for systems that will displace natural gas water heaters, and $100 million is set aside for systems

Residential Solar Water Heating Rebates

New Hampshire offers rebates for residential solar water-heating systems. The rebate is equal to $1,500 for systems with an annual estimated output of 5.5 MMBTU to 19.9 MMBTU; $1,700 for systems with an annual estimated output of 20 MMBTU to 29.9 MMBTU; and $1,900 for systems with an annual estimated output of 30 MMBTU or more. Rebates will be awarded for eligible projects as long as program funding is available.

Montana-Dakota Utilities (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Montana-Dakota Utilities (MDU) offers several residential rebates on energy efficient measures and natural gas equipment. New furnaces and programmable thermostats are eligible for a rebate incentive if the equipment meets program efficiency standards. New furnaces must have Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) at least 95% or greater. The rebate program is available to natural gas customers for existing home natural gas furnace replacement, fuel conversion and new home construction customers. Home builders are eligible to receive a maximum of 25 natural gas heating incentives on a calendar year basis.
