Diverse Power - Energy Efficient Existing Homes Rebate Program

Diverse Power offers a number of rebates to homeowners for purchasing and installing energy-efficient measures, such as heat pumps, water heaters, heat recovery systems, and for replacing natural gas heat pumps and water heaters with electric systems. Rebates for water heaters increase depending on what kind of system is being replaced by the new efficient system purchase. Alliant Energy - Low-Interest Energy Efficiency Loan Program

Alliant Energy offers low-interest financing program for the installation of energy efficient improvements. Businesses, residences, farms, or agricultural-related businesses are eligible if Alliant Energy supplies the electricity or natural gas on a retail rate basis for the applicable technology.
Interest rates for financing range from 0% - 6.9%. The minimum loan amount is $1,500 and the maximum loan amount under this program is $25,000. Customers who qualify for the low-interest financing per the financial institution's requirements, pay no fees (processing fees, points, down payments, or security liens) to obtain the loan. Note that Alliant Energy is not involved in the loan

Interconnection Guidelines

In October 2009, the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) approved net metering regulations. These rules were finalized and approved by the lieutenant governor in January 2010 and became effective January 15, 2010.  In May 2011, the RCA approved interconnection guidelines.  All utilities subject to Alaska's net metering regulations were required to issue revised tariffs that address interconnection.

The interconnection guidelines state that the utility can require a customer to have liability insurance, if the insurance is easily available at a reasonable cost to the customer.  No external disconnect switch is required; the customer is either given the choice of installing an

Unitil (Electric) - Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program

Unitil offers its New Hampshire residential customers a no interest loan program to complete energy efficiency recommendations made through the Home Performance with Energy Star whole-house assessment. Loans are offered for up to $15,000. Contact Unitil for more information on this offering.

Unitil (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Program

Unitil offers its New Hampshire residential gas customers a number of programs to encourage more energy-efficient homes. The Home Performance with Energy Star Program is available to customers with higher than average energy bills. The program includes a home energy audit which identifies potential areas for energy efficiency improvements. Qualifying improvements can result in a 50% utility rebate for the customer, up to $4,000.  Common energy savings improvements utilized by the program include:

  • Sealing air leaks and adding insulation
  • Improving heating and cooling systems
  • Sealing ductwork
  • Upgrading lighting, appliances, and water heating equipment
  • Installing renewable energy systems

Xcel Energy (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

In addition to home energy audits, Xcel Energy offers rebates to its Minnesota residential customers for the purchase of natural gas HVAC systems, insulation and water heating equipment. Residential customers may also qualify for the Home Performance Rebate program, which offers incentives for comprehensive home improvements.

Xcel Energy also offers the residential Saver's Switch program. Residents receive a bill credit during the summer months in exchange for agreeing to have air conditioning systems cycled on and off during peak energy demand periods. Residents can also receive audits at 70% less than market value to help them determine the right energy-savings

Xcel Energy (Electric and Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

This program is available only to Minnesota residents who take both electric and natural gas service from Xcel Energy. The rebate amount will then depend on the measures chosen.

Wellesley Municipal Light Plant - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Wellesley Municipal Light Plant (WMLP) offers a number of appliance rebates to residential customers who purchase and install energy efficient equipment. Only Energy Star qualified equipment is eligible for this program. Residential customers must be in good standing with WMLP, purchase qualified equipment, submit necessary paperwork, and follow all installation requirements in order to be eligible. Customers must provide a copy of the EnergyGuide label from the appliance with the Energy Star logo or a printout from the Energy Star website showing that the appliance is Energy Star rated. Limit is two items per account per calendar year.

Dominion Energy (Electric) - Residential EnergyWise Program

Dominion Energy provides energy efficiency incentives to home owners in its service territory through its EnergyWise program.

Applicants must be the registered owner of a separately metered, detached, or attached single-family residence where the product/equipment is installed. A licensed contractor must install the equipment and a rebate form and invoice must be submitted within 90 days of installation. View the program web site for additional details.
