On August 14, 2019, Mayor Kenney of Philadelphia signed a law which created a Solar Rebate. The rebate is paid by the City for commercial or residential solar installations completed after July 1, 2019. These incentive payments will average $1,000 per home. The program has a spending cap of $500,000 per fiscal year.

NOTE: the 2024-2025 Grant Program application window opened on September 20, 2024. It will remain open until funds are exhausted.

Established in July 2004, the PA Small Business Advantage Grant Program provides matching funds to for-profit businesses with a maximum of 100 full-time equivalent employees for improvements in energy efficiency and pollution prevention. The business must also be the primary source of employment for at least one full-time employee. 

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) administers the grants, providing up to $12,000 for proposed projects with significant environmental savings in environmental justice areas. The DEP provides a Small Business Advantage

Commercial, industrial and institutional customers of NV Energy can take advantage of a wide variety of incentives offered through the program for retrofit and new construction projects. Incentives and rules differ based upon whether equipment is for new construction or existing buildings. Complete details are available on the program website. 

Columbia River People's Utiltiy District offers net metering for customer-generators with solar PV installations through its Choice Energy Solar Rebates. The incentive is $1,000 for newly installed qualifying solar PV systems.

The County of Marin is offering rebates to single family property owners for the replacement of natural gas appliances with efficient all-electric units, including water heaters, furnaces, ranges and cooktops. Replacing natural gas appliances with electric models will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve indoor air quality, and make your home a safer environment.
