Energy Loan Fund for Schools

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce has established a loan/lease fund for public and non-profit K-12 schools to improve energy efficiency.

Two categories of funding are available for schools to reduce energy consumption. Category I funding will pay for technical and energy audits, the development of Energy Management Plans, and any professional services that contribute to the planning and design of energy reduction systems and measures. Category II funding covers the actual acquisition and installation of energy conservation measures.

Community Energy Education Management Program

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce offers a revolving loan fund for local governments to make energy efficient improvements to government buildings. All eligible projects should increase energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption, project a positive return on investment and be paid back within 6 years of the loan award. Funds from this program can be used to pay for a technical assistance report/audit, energy conservation measures, and operation and maintenance procedures that would contribute to overall reduced energy consumption.

An eligible local government may have only one active loan open at any time.

Green Power Purchasing

Note: The green power purchasing goal has a target date of 2011. As of August 2021, the state has not created new green power purchasing targets. 

Pursuant to S.B. 459 enacted in March 2006, Wisconsin's Departments of Administration, Corrections, Health and Family Services, Public Instruction, Veterans Affairs, and the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System have a goal of purchasing or generating 10% of their power from renewable energy by December 31, 2007, and 20% by December 31, 2011. In July 2008 the Governor announced that the state had completed a green electricity purchase of 92,400 megawatt-hours

ConserFund Loan Program

The South Carolina Energy Office offers the ConserFund Loan Program to fund energy efficiency improvements in state agencies, local governments, public colleges and universities, school districts and private non-profit organizations. The ConserFund Loan Program will fund a variety of efficiency improvements, but priority is given to projects that have a fast energy savings payback. Generally, ConserFund loans are to be used on retrofits of existing buildings. However, ConserFund may be used to finance energy recovery systems, ground source heat pumps, biomass, solar, and other renewable energy systems in new construction facilities.

Fort Collins Utilities - Epic Loan

Fort Collins Utilities offers its residential customers low-interest loans that may be used to finance up to 100% of the cost of eligible energy efficiency and renewable energy projects at existing homes. This loan program offers no-money-down financing for up to 15 years. Payments are made through the customer's utility bill, and there is a limit of one loan per premise. Fort Collins Utilities - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Fort Collins Utilities offers a number of appliance and recycling rebates to residential and small commercial customers. Applications for equipment rebates are available on the Fort Collins web site as well as at select local manufacturers and retailers. Fort Collins Utilities has also partnered with local retailers to bring you energy efficient lighting at a discounted rate.

Midstate Electric Cooperative - Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Midstate Electric Cooperative (MEC) encourages energy efficiency in the commercial and industrial sectors by giving customers a choice of several different financial incentive programs. First,  rebates are available for a wide variety of lighting upgrades and improvements. The rebate amount varies on a per unit basis according to the type of lighting installed. To participate in this program, customers must schedule an energy audit of the existing lighting equipment with Midstate Electric before installing any new equipment. The Midstate Electric representative will make improvement recommendations during the course of the audit.

Midstate Electric Cooperative - Residential Conservation Rebates

Midstate Electric Cooperative (MEC) offers its residential customers a variety of rebates for energy efficient improvements and new energy efficient homes. Rebates are awarded for the installation of energy efficient appliances including washer/dryer combinations, heat pumps and heat pump water heaters. Rebates also are provided for weatherization measures including the installation of insulation and energy efficient windows. Additional incentives are offered for manufactured homes which are Energy Star certified. Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

The Focus on Energy Program offers incentives for residents to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Rebates are available for eligible furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air sealing, attic insulation, and water heaters. Improvements must meet the program’s efficiency and equipment standards in order to be eligible for an award. Equipment should be installed prior to submitting an application and should come from the list of pre-qualified equipment listed on the program web site.

Colorado Springs Utilities - Renewable Energy Rebate Program

NOTE: CSU is not offering a solar energy rebate in 2023.

Through its Renewable Energy Rebate Program, Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) offers a rebate to customers who install grid-connected solar-electric (photovoltaic, or PV) systems. To calculate the PV system’s AC output, a de-rating factor is used to account for shading and suboptimal orientation or tilt.

All Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) generated from systems installed under this program are transferred to CSU for compliance with Colorado’s renewable portfolio standard.
