Baltimore County - Property Tax Credit for Solar and Geothermal Devices

The total volume of credits awarded through this program has exceeded the annual budget of $250,000. There is a wait list for new applicants seeking credits that extends until at least July 2024.

Dominion Energy - ThermWise Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

ThermWise is a Dominion Energy program that promotes the use of energy-efficient appliances and practices to reduce natural gas usage. Through this program Dominion Energy provides incentives for residential customers who incorporate energy-efficient natural gas equipment into their homes. All equipment requirements must be met in order to participate. These rebates are for Dominion Energy customers only, Dominion does not service all of Idaho, check to confirm your service area before beginning the application. Questar Gas - Residential Solar Assisted Water Heating Rebate Program

Questar Gas provides incentives for residential customers to purchase and install solar water heating systems on their homes. Rebates of $750 per system are provided to customers of Questar who install solar assisted water heating systems, including pool heating. To be eligible, customers must include with their applications an invoice or receipt that shows purchase date, price, and a description of the equipment. Oklahoma Natural Gas - Residential Efficiency Rebates

  To encourage customers to install high-efficiency natural gas equipment in homes, Oklahoma Natural Gas offers rebates to residential customers a variety of energy efficiency measures. Duke Energy Carolinas (Electric) - Energy Star Homes Rate Discount Program

Duke Energy Carolinas encourages residential customers to buy energy-efficient homes through the utility's Energy Star Homes Program, which awards a rate discount to customers living in Energy Star homes. To earn the Energy Star label, homes are tested by a third-party inspector to ensure they meet the U.S. Department of Energy's criteria. Generally speaking, a home must be at least 30% more efficient than the national Model Energy Code for homes or 15% more efficient than the state energy code, whichever is more rigorous. Orange and Rockland Utilities (Electric) - Energy Efficiency Program

Orange and Rockland Utilities offers electric energy efficiency program that provides rebates to replace various appliances. The incentives also apply for small business electric customers. 

Orange and Rockland Utilities also provides rebates for residential customers for recycling older, inefficient refrigerators and freezers. All appliances must meet the program requirements listed on the program web site.

NorthWestern Energy (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

NorthWestern Energy offers a variety of rebates for residential customers to make energy efficiency improvements in their existing homes. Incentives are available for heating equipment, insulation, programmable thermostats, fan controllers, and water heating. See program website for details on eligible measures and incentive amounts. 

Customers building a new home are also eligible for incentives for natural gas space and water heating under the E+ New Homes Program.

Rebates for lighting fixtures and sensors are also available for NorthWestern electric customers.

Interconnection Guidelines

Rhode Island enacted legislation (HB 6222) in June 2011 to standardize the application process for the interconnection of customer-sited renewable-energy systems to the state’s distribution grid.  The new application process, which took effect in July 2011, applies to the state's electric distribution companies, including National Grid.
