The Virgin Islands Energy Office currently offers rebates to residents and small businesses for purchasing a wide variety of energy efficiency and renewable energy products. Rebates are available for air purifiers, ceiling fans, clothes dryers, clothes washers, commercial and residential dishwashers, commercial and residential freezers, computers, dehumidifiers, doors, gas tankless water heaters, heat pump water heaters, imaging equipment, light fixtures, outdoor solar lighting, portable power stations with solar panels, refrigerators, roof coating, skylights, smart thermostats

City and County of Denver - Elevations Energy Loans

The Elevations Energy Loan can be used to finance a wide variety of efficiency and renewable energy projects in homes and businesses. Homes and businesses located in Boulder County, Fort Collins, or the City and County of Denver are eligible for the low-cost financing. Loan applicants receive assistance from an Energy Advisor through EnergySmart and Denver Energy Challenge, respectively. Homeowners must select from a qualified pool of contractors. All borrowers will be required to pay a $25 processing fee and a fee equal to 1% of the project into the Colorado Residential Energy Upgrade Loan program, and become members

Boulder County - Elevations Energy Loans

Clean-Burning Wood Stove Grant Program

The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) offers the Clean Burning Wood Stove Grant program as part of its Residential Clean Energy Grant Program. The Clean Burning Wood Stove Grant program offers a flat grant award of $500 for wood burning wood stoves and $700 for pellet burning wood stoves that meet program eligibility requirements.

Basic requirements for grant funding include:

  • All wood and pellet stoves must have an EPA-Published efficiency rating of 75% or higher as of September 15, 2022
  • The property must serve as primary residence
  • A property may not receive more than one grant per technology per fiscal year

Xcel Energy - Solar Rewards Program

XCel's Solar Rewards Program is an incentivized program, offering monthly or annual payments to the owner of the solar system in exchange for Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for the energy produced by the solar system.

Eligibility
  • Must be an Xcel Energy residential or business electricity customer.
  • Must have an active and valid account number and premise number.
  • The customer's name on the application must match the name on the Xcel Energy account/bill.

Expedited Permitting Process for Solar Photovoltaic Systems

Vermont has established an expedited permitting process for solar photovoltaic systems that are 15 kilowatts-AC (kW) or less.  In order to interconnect and net meter, electric customers in Vermont must obtain a Certificate of Public Good from the Vermont Public Service Board (PSB). Solar net-metered systems that are 15 kW or less follow an expedited process for the Certificate of Public Good.  To receive a Certificate of Public Good, the customer must register the system with the PSB.  The customer must inform the PSB about the project and comply with the electric utility's interconnection requirements.  If there are any issues with

Meade County RECC - Residential Rebate Program

Meade County RECC offers rebates to residential members who install energy-efficient systems and equipment. New homebuilders can also access rebates for installing energy-efficient equipment through the Touchstone Energy New Home Program. Members and new homebuilders can apply for rebates for installing Energy Star-qualified products that include:

  • Air-source heat pumps
  • Dual fuel heap pumps
  • Geothermal heat pumps
  • Clothes washers
  • Refrigerators

Members may also receive a rebate of $25 for having up to three HVAC units professionally cleaned and serviced. Each unit qualifies for the $25 rebate once per calendar year. For more information, see the program web site.

Brownsville Public Utilities Board - Residential/Small Commercial Rebate Program

 Brownsville Public Utilities Board offers residential and small commercial customers rebates for installation of energy efficient and water conservation measures through their Green Living Rebate program. Customers can apply for rebates for attic/ceiling insulation, duct flow performance, ENERGY STAR windows, HVAC, solar screens and films, and high efficiency toilets. Applications must be completed within 30 days of installations and are subject to verification.

Aiken Electric Cooperative Inc - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Aiken Electric Cooperative offers residential members rebates for installing high-efficiency electric water heaters and/or timers in their homes. Customers have four rebate options: 

  1. A member may choose a free, new high-efficiency 50-gallon or 85-gallon electric water heater from AEC without a timer and pay a $200 installation fee. You can either pay the installation fee up front or take up to 36 months to pay by having a monthly payment amount added to your electric bill. A 9.9% interest rate will apply.

East Central Electric Cooperative - Residential Rebate Program

East Central Electric Cooperative offers rebates to residential customers to install energy-efficient ground source heat pumps, water heaters, programmable thermostats, and air conditioners. To qualify for the rebate customers must submit a rebate survey form, the appropriate appliance rebate form, and a company invoice, with date and proof of purchase price.
