Duke Energy Carolinas Customer Scale Rebate Program

Duke Energy Carolinas' Customer Scale Solar Rebate Program, a part of Duke Energy's voluntary Distributed Energy Resource Program,  was approved by an order issued on July 15, 2015.

Program Details

Duke Energy Carolinas will offer a rebate of $1.00 per DC watt for residential customers and nonresidential customers. Rebates are limited to 40 megawatts (MW), with 30 MW for distributed systems under 2 MW and 10 MW for systems under 20 kilowatts (kW). At the customer's discretion, the rebate may be claimed by the customer or applied to companies installing or leasing systems.

The Federated States of Micronesia - Renewable Energy Target

Note: The Federated States of Micronesia are a United States associated state.

In 2012, the Federated States of Micronesia (Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae) put in place an energy policy, which calls for a 30 percent reduction in use of fossil fuels and 50 percent increase in energy efficiency by 2020. 

In addition, it sets broad goals of:

1. Provision of affordable and safe electricity to all the households in the main island center by 2015.

2. Electrification of 80% of rural public facilities by 2015.

3. Electrification of 90% of rural households by 2020.

Emerald PUD - Solar Electric Program

Emerald People's Utility District offers incentives to customers installing a qualified solar photovoltaic (PV) system. Systems must be 25 kW or smaller to qualify. Systems must be pre-approved by Emerald PUD for grid interconnection and net metering, must meet the acceptable solar resource requirement, and must be installed by an approved solar contractor. See the program website for further details.

Liberty Utilities - Solar PV Rebates

Note: Effective May 16, 2015, Empire began offering this solar rebate to retail customers who installed eligible systems after December 31, 2009, and meet all other program requirements.

Empire District Electric Company (now operating as Liberty Utilities) offers customers rebates for the installing net-metered solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The program is available to all of Empire's retail customers on generally available residential, commercial, and industrial rate schedules. Only systems that become operational after December 31, 2009, are eligible for the rebate.

Note: Public Act 235 of 2023 made several changes to Michigan's distributed generation compensation rules. The aggregate cap for DG capacity will now be 10% of average in-state peak load. Within that 10%, 50% of capacity will be available for projects of more than 20 kW but less than 550 kW. The new individual system size cap is 550 kW, or 110% of a customer's energy consumption. The inflow-outflow methodology remains in effect.

Focus on Energy partners with retailers around Wisconsin to offer discounts on select ENERGY STAR® qualified products in stores. You must be a customer of a utility that participates in Focus on Energy to receive the discounts.

Lewis County PUD - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Lewis County PUD offers rebates for a variety of residential technology upgrades. Eligible upgrades include insulation for the inside the residence, cost of installation for windows and exterior doors, and appliances.  Interested customers should have an energy audit performed before any work is authorized and seek approval to be eligible for incentives. National Grid EnergyWise Financing program

National Grid offers 0% financing to its customers to install energy efficient heating equipment in Rhode Island homes. Only residential customers of National Grid (electric or gas) with 1-4 unit property are eligible for the program. Financing is not offered to tenants. 

Interested participants must first schedule for home energy audit through the EnergyWise Home Energy Assessment Program by calling 888-633-7947. The energy audit will provide a list of energy efficiency measures including other rebates offered by National Grid. Consumers Energy - Experimental Advanced Renewable Program

Note: The Experimental Advanced Renewable Energy Program is closed to new participants. New distributed generation customers of Consumers Energy can refer to Michigan's net metering policy and visit the Consumers Energy net metering webpage for an alternative option.

The Experimental Advanced Renewable Energy Program (EARP) offers Consumers Energy residential and non-residential customers a buy-back tariff program for electricity produced by solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and anaeorobic digestion. The pilot version of the program began in 2009 and closed in December 2010, but an expanded version of the program has extended into 2015.
