Rebates

Mississippi Power offers loans to residential customers to help pay for energy efficiency upgrades. The loan can be used for heat pumps, heating & cooling systems, electric water heaters, electric cooling if included with electric heat or electric hot water heating, thermal improvements, duct sealing and infiltration control insulation, storm doors, and Energy Star windows. Interest rates can be as low as 9.9% and the term can be 2, 4, 5 or 6 years. The web site contains an application that must be filled out and either faxed or mailed to Mississippi Power. Customers who build Power Miser certified homes are eligible for a $1,500 rebate and a 10 percent discount on their electric utility bills from November through April for the first five years in the home.

To participate in the Power Miser program, your new home must receive service from Cleco, be heated by a central heat pump, and have all electric water heating.

After the home is complete, you must submit a Power Miser Verification Form and all required documentation to Cleco within 45 days of Certificate of Occupancy Issue Date.

Alabama Power offers low-interest loans to residential customers to purchase and install new heat pumps. The loans require no money down and can be used to finance an air source, geothermal or dual-fuel heat pump. The loans can also be used to cover associated water heating costs and wiring installations. Additionally, heat pump installation can be combined with weatherization measures, including insulation, storm windows and doors, and attic ventilation. Plus, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air cleaners, and duct cleaning can be combined with these loans as well. The Laclede Gas Company offers two loan programs for customers to improve energy efficiency.

The Insulation Financing Program loans funds to qualifying residential customers who meet standard credit requirements for insulation improvements to homes, up to $2,000 at a 3% annual interest rate. To apply, contact Laclede Gas.

The EnergyWise Dealer Program loans funds up to $10,000 to qualifying residential and commercial customers for the purchase of energy-efficient gas furnaces, gas appliances, and air conditioners. The program has an overall limit of four heating systems per customer. A down payment of 5% is required of participants. Eligible customers should contact

Evergy's thermostat program offers free and discounted smart thermostats as well as a $100 bonus. See the website for additional details. 

The South Jersey Gas Residential On-Bill Repayment Program offers 0% APR financing for up to 7 years, or up to 10 years for income-qualified customers, to help homeowners install eligible high-efficiency energy equipment. Monthly repayments are conveniently included on the natural gas bill. This program is available to residential single-family and duplex homeowners who are listed on the property deed and have the gas utility bill in their name. Financing amounts range from $2,500 to $25,000 depending on the type of improvement installed, such as upgrading from a standard-efficiency non-condensing furnace or boiler to a high-efficiency condensing model.
The financing

The Home Energy Efficiency Rebate Program is offered by SoCalGas with funding from California utility customers and oversight from the California Public Utilities Commission. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until December 31, 2025 or until funds run out. The program can change or end at any time without notice. Participation is optional, and SoCalGas does not guarantee or endorse any products, services, or third-party providers. Customers are responsible for their own purchases and must meet eligibility requirements.

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) offers an incentive to business customers for upgrading or installing fuel efficient natural gas equipment at eligible facilities. Incentives are available for natural gas heating systems. Rental property owners also qualify for a number of rebates offered through this program that would otherwise apply specifically to residential customers. Residential customers of San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) are eligible for point-of-sale or mail-in rebates on various energy efficiency rebates, including clothes washers, smart thermostats, and water heaters. See website above for complete details. 

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) offers a variety of rebates for residential customers who install energy efficient equipment in eligible homes. Prescriptive rebates are available for smart thermostats and generators/batteries. Further rebates for heating and cooling products are available through the Golden State Rebate Program.
