Columbia Water & Light - Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Loan

The Columbia Water & Light (CWL) Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program allows Columbia residents to finance energy efficiency improvements to homes with affordable, low-interest loans with terms up to 10 years. If a CWL customer has a good credit history and owns an eligible home, loans can be used to install insulation, heating and cooling systems, solar water heating and solar space heating systems, and other eligible efficiency technologies.

Sangre De Cristo Electric Association - Energy Efficiency Credit Program

The Sangre De Cristo Electric Association (SDCEA) offers rebates for water heaters, appliances, commercial and residential LED lighting, heat pumps and outdoor power equipment. These rebates are a part of a collaboration between the SDCEA and their wholesale power supplier Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc..

Murray City Power - Net Metering Pilot Program

Eligibility and Availability

Under a pilot program, Murray City Power offers net metering to customers that generate electricity using solar photovoltaic (PV), wind, or hydroelectric systems with a maximum capacity of 10 kilowatts (kW).* The utility will install and maintain a revenue meter capable of registering the bi-directional flow of electricity at the customer's facility. This program is currently available to customers on a trial basis. City of St. George - Net Metering

The City of St. George Energy Services Department (SGESD) offers a net metering program to its customers, and updated program guidelines and fees in September 2015.* 

Net metering is available to customers that generate electricity using photovoltaic (PV) systems. The net metering agreements available on the utility's website only pertain to PV, but wind and other renewable technologies may be eligible for net metering. The bill prohibits cross-subsidization of ratepayers potentially caused by net metering tariffs and limits IOUs from allowing more than 3% of aggregate load to be generated by solar power. Eversource - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Eversource (formerly Public Service of New Hampshire), in collaboration with NHSaves, provides incentives for residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of participating homes. Prescriptive rebates are available for the purchase of Energy Star rated clothes washers, refrigerators, room air conditioners, lighting, and for recycling inefficient refrigerators. Heating, cooling, and water heating incentives are also offered through Eversource and NHSaves.

Interconnection Guidelines

The South Carolina Public Service Commission (PSC) adopted simplified interconnection guidelines for small distributed generation (DG) in December 2006.  South Carolina's interconnection guidelines apply to Duke Energy Progress, Duke Energy Carolinas, and Dominion Energy. These guidelines address interconnection of renewable- energy systems and other forms of DG in three levels -

  1. Streamlined interconnection process for a certified inverter based generating unit up to 20 kW
  2. Fast Track for interconnection for systems larger than 20 kW up to 2 MW
  3. For larger interconnection systems greater than 2 MW requiring interconnection study.
