Boulder County - Elevations Energy Loans

The Elevations Energy Loan can be used to finance a wide variety of efficiency and renewable energy projects in homes and businesses. Homes and businesses located in Boulder County or the City and County of Denver are eligible for the low-cost financing. Loan applicants receive assistance from an Energy Advisor through EnergySmart and Denver Energy Challenge, respectively. Homeowners must select from a qualified pool of contractors. All borrowers will be required to pay a $25 processing fee and become members of Elevations Credit Union.

Xcel Energy - Solar Rewards Program

XCel's Solar Rewards Program is an incentivized program, offering monthly or annual payments to the owner of the solar system in exchange for Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for the energy produced by the solar system.

Expedited Permitting Process for Solar Photovoltaic Systems

Vermont has established an expedited permitting process for solar photovoltaic systems that are 15 kilowatts-AC (kW) or less.  In order to interconnect and net meter, electric customers in Vermont must obtain a Certificate of Public Good from the Vermont Public Service Board (PSB). Local Option - Real Property Tax Exemption for Green Buildings

In July 2012 New York enacted legislation allowing municipal corporations to exempt green buildings from real property taxes. It is important to note that this law allows but does not require local governments to extend favorable property tax treatment to green buildings. In order for the exemption to apply, the taxing jurisdiction must first adopt this exemption.

Solar Energy System and Cogeneration System Personal Property Tax Credit

The District of Columbia Council created a personal property tax exemption for solar energy systems and cogeneration systems within the District by enacting B19-0749 in December of 2012. Systems using exclusively solar energy as defined in D.C. Code § 34-1431(14) are exempt from personal property tax; provided, that, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Chief Financial Officer shall transfer $120,000 from the certified revenues deposited in the Renewable Energy Development Fund established by § 34-1436 to the unrestricted fund balance of the General Fund of the District of Columbia and shall recognize the $120,000 as local funds revenue in fiscal year

Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance - Residential Loan Program

The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance provides loans for single family residencies and owner occupied duplexes in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties in Ohio and Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties in Kentucky. To qualify for loans, homeowners must be within the Energy Alliance service territory, adhere to ENERGY STAR® minimum standards, and the upgrade must be completed by a participating Energy Alliance home performance contractor or installer.

City of Lauderhill - Revolving Loan Program

The City of Lauderhill offers interest-free loans for EnergyStar appliances through a municipal revolving loan program. Loans from $400 to $2,500 are available to homeowners purchasing new Energy Star-certified appliances from eligible retailers. Tankless water heaters, solar photovoltaic systems, and solar water heating systems are also eligible for the loan program. Loan funds have a one or two-year repayment plan. City of Plano - Smart Energy Loan Program

The City of Plano established this loan program through the Department of Energy to support Plano homeowners seeking energy efficient home improvements.

In partnership with BTH Bank, financing will be provided to program participants, subject to credit approval. Loan terms and interest rate will be determined by BTH Bank. Loan amounts range from $2,500 to $25,000. This loan program will continue to offer future loans as existing loans are paid off. Due to Department of Energy and Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Template Guidelines, no pre-completed project can be funded through the Smart Energy Loan Program.

Green Energy Property Tax Assessment

Tennessee offers a special ad valorem property tax assessment for certified green energy production facilities.
