Rebates

Through The SAVEGREEN Project, New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) provides rebates for customers installing high-efficieny appliances, insulation, heat pumps, air conditioning and more. Installation qualifies customer for NJNG's free Home Energy Audit. This audit is performed by a BPI certified NJNG auditor. NJNG offers up to $15,000 in 0% APR Financing.

Installation of equipment in new homes, and participants who have received rebates from the NJ Clean Energy Program are not eligible the rebates. 

AES Ohio recognizes the value energy efficiency programs bring to home and business customers and is evaluating the potential to continue programs in the future.

Currently AES only offers incentives on Smart Thermostats sold through AES Ohio Marketplace.

Entergy New Orleans has designed an incentive program to help residential customers understand and make energy efficiency improvements in eligible homes. Incentives are geared towards both individual measures and whole home upgrades. Individual equipment incentives include central AC systems, heat pumps, HVAC system tune-ups, and other comprehensive measures.

Appliances must be ENERGY STAR rated and recycled appliances must be in working condition. All HVAC equipment must meet program efficiency requirements to be eligible for rebates. Rebates are available to Delmarva Maryland customers on qualifying purchases at any retail store. Rebate applications must include account number, original sales receipt, and must be received within 60 days of purchase. The City of Sunset Valley offers rebates to local homeowners who install solar water heating systems on their properties. The local rebate acts as an add-on to the solar water heating rebates that are offered by Austin Energy to its electric customers. The Sunset Valley rebate is set at 30% of the installed system cost, up to a maximum rebate of $2,000 per homeowner, supplementing the Austin Energy Rebate of $1,500 for systems on new homes and $2,000 for systems on existing homes.

In October 2009, the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) approved net metering regulations. These rules were finalized and approved by the lieutenant governor in January 2010 and became effective January 15, 2010. All electric utilities subject to economic regulation are required to offer net metering. Independent systems with retail sales of less than 5,000,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) are exempt from offering net metering. Utilities that generate 100% of electricity from certain approved renewable energy sources and other sources approved by the RCA that have a low environmental impact are also exempt.

Assembly Bill 45 of 2009 authorized counties to adopt ordinances to provide for the installation of small wind systems (50 kW or smaller) outside urbanized areas but within the county's jurisdiction. The bill also addressed specific aspects of a typical wind ordinance and established the limiting factors by which a county's wind ordinance can be no more restrictive. Counties may freely make more lenient ordinances, but this legislation was designed to establish maximum restrictions a county may impose if they choose to develop a small wind ordinance. Concord Municipal Light Plant (CMLP) offers rebates to customers who install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems that are designed to offset the customer's electrical needs. Systems must be owned by the customer or leased under a leased agreement approved by Concord Light's legal counsel. Systems must be located at the customer's premise. Customers should complete the solar application and sign the terms and conditions. In addition, customers must submit a copy of the installation contract, and CMLP interconnection application. Furthermore, customers must allow CMLP access to the property and system for a rebate verification inspection.

The Sunset Valley rebate is $1.00 per watt (W) up to 3,000 W. In order to qualify for the Sunset Valley rebate, the system must first qualify for an Austin Energy rebate. In addition, the system installation cost must be $6 per kW or less.
