Brainerd Public Utilities - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Brainerd Public Utilites (BPU) offers a variety of rebates to residential customers. Additionally, through a partnership with Energy Insight, Inc., commercial customers can set up a consultation for potential rebates. Florida Keys Electric Cooperative - Solar Loan Program

Florida Keys Electric Cooperative (FKEC) offers a loan program for the purchase and installation of a grid-tied Distributed Energy Resource (DER) system. This can be both a battery storage system or a photovoltaic system. This program is offered to both residential and commercial customers. To participate, customers must have a "clean" billing history with FKEC for at least 12 months for residential customers and at least 24 months for commercial customers.

Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) Program

Note: Emergency regulations for SMART 3.0 were filed and became effective in June 2025, accompanied by a public hearing schedule for comments. Additional revisions were made in August 2025, with the revised regulations taking effect on September 12, 2025, while the emergency regulations remain in place. The regulations also establish a sunset for solar projects applying under the existing SMART 2.0 incentive program. For additional updates, click here.

City of Philadelphia - Solar Rebate Program

On August 14, 2019, Mayor Kenney of Philadelphia signed a law which created a Solar Rebate. The rebate is paid by the City for commercial or residential solar installations completed after July 1, 2019. These incentive payments will average $1,000 per home. The program has a spending cap of $500,000 per fiscal year.

Marin County Residential Rebate Program

The County of Marin is offering rebates to single family property owners for the replacement of natural gas appliances with efficient all-electric units, including water heaters, furnaces, ranges and cooktops. Replacing natural gas appliances with electric models will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve indoor air quality, and make your home a safer environment.

NYSERDA Residential and Retail Energy Storage Incentive Program

In December 2018, the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) adopted a 1,500 MW energy storage target by 2025, and a 3,000 MW target (later updated to 6,000 MW) by 2030. As a part of the order, the PSC directed NYSERDA to develop incentives designed to meet the statewide energy storage goals. 

The Residential and Retail Energy Storage Incentives program offers fixed-rate financial incentives for new grid-connected residential and commercial customers to install standalone energy storage or systems paired with a new or existing on-site renewable generation. NYSERDA Bulk Energy Storage Incentive Program

In December 2018, the New York Public Service Commission (PSC) adopted 1,500 MW energy storage target by 2025, and a 3,000 MW target by 2030. As a part of the order, the PSC directed NYSERDA to develop incentive designed to meet the statewide energy storage goals. 

The Bulk Energy Storage Incentive program offers financial incentives for new energy storage projects greater than 5 MW (AC) that are connected to the grid. The energy storage system must provide services to the wholesale energy market, ancillary services, or distribution level service.

EnergyUnited (Gas) Residential Appliance Rebates Program

EnergyUnited offers rebates for replacing appliances with new more efficient propane appliances. Rebates are available for propane furnaces or gas packs, propane-fueled vented room heaters or wall furnaces, propane-fueled tankless water heaters, propane-fueled storage tank-type water heaters, and dual fuel heat pumps. Rebate amounts range from $100 to $300 depending on the appliance replaced. Rebates are only available to homeowners. Rebates are available until program funds are depleted.

EnergyUnited (Electric) Residential Energy Efficiency Program

EnergyUnited is offering new rebates for heat pump upgrades. A rebate of $150 is available for upgrading to a heat pump system of 15 SEER and a $300 rebates is available for upgrading to a heat pump system of 16 SEER or higher. Systems must be 18,000 BTU to qualify. Rebate is only available to homeowners. Each applicant must be an EnergyUnited member. Rebates are limited to two units per household.
