Piedmont Natural Gas - Residential and Commercial Equipment Efficiency Rebates

This program is only available to current Piedmont residential and commercial customers in North Carolina and South Carolina who are replacing existing natural gas equipment with qualifying high-efficiency natural gas equipment. Piedmont Natural Gas offers rebates for purchasing and installing high-efficiency natural gas water heaters and furnaces.  Newly Constructed buildings and facilities using alternate fuel sources such as electricity or propane are not eligible. Customers must provide specific information regarding equipment purchases and installation contractors on the application form. Contact Piedmont Natural Gas for more information on this program.

City of Chandler - Expedited Plan Review for Green Buildings

The mayor and city council of Chandler, AZ adopted Resolution 4199 in June 2008, establishing incentives for green building in the private sector. Dominion Energy Virginia - EV Charger Rewards

EV Charger Rewards Program - Rebate Instructions

Steps for participation:

1) Purchase a new, qualifying smart level 2 ChargePoint or JuiceBox charger from the Dominion Energy Marketplace, or any other retailer.

2) Install the charger and register it with the manufacturer. Register for EV Charger Rewards on the manufacturer website.

3) Participants enrolled in the Charging Rewards program will receive a $40 rebate after one year of participation, and an additional $40 every year thereafter on their anniversary date.

Previously-Owned Clean Vehicle Tax Credit

Note: Section 70501 of The One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) repealed this tax credit for equipment placed in service after September 30, 2025. 

Section 13402 of The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (H.R. 5376) established a tax credit for previously-owned clean vehicles purchased by a taxpayer after December 31, 2022. Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Tax Credit (Personal)

Note: Section 70504 of The One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) repealed this tax credit for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. 

Qualified alternative fuel vehicle refueling equipment not subject to depreciation allowances, including electric vehicle charging equipment, is eligible for a tax credit of 30% up to $1,000. These projects do not have to meet the same labor standards as commercial projects in order to qualify for the full 30% tax credit.
