Rebates

GreyStone Power, an electricity cooperative in Georgia, offers a rebate for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to members. The one-time rebate is offered for PV installations that are interconnected and net-metered. The rebate is equal to $450 per kilowatt (kW) AC for systems up to 10 kilowatts (kW) in capacity.

GreyStone Power, an electricity cooperative serving 103,000 customers in Georgia, introduced a solar water heating rebate in March 2009. This $500 rebate is available to customers regardless of their current method of heating water. A list of preferred contractors is provided by GreyStone.

GreyStone will install monitoring equipment with the system to monitor system output and performance and will share this information with the customer. Contact Greystone for more information, inlcuding program requirements.

Consolidated Electric Cooperative provides rebates to residential customers who install heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, water heaters, level-2 EV chargers, ENERGY-STAR refrigerators and smart thermostats.

The Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE) offers rebates for residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of eligible homes. Rebates are available for ENERGY STAR clothes washers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, freezers, CFLs, HVAC systems, and Building Insulation. The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR incentive Program also provides residential incentives including envelope and HVAC systems. The CFL rebates are given in the form of a marked-down price at participating retailers. All equipment must meet program efficiency requirements and all necessary documentation must accompany upgrades.

Through the Home Performance with Energy Star program customers can qualify for rebates averaging $3,000. Learn more

Garland Power and Light (GP&L) offers incentives to its residential, small commercial, and commercial customers to increase the energy efficiency of homes and facilities. Rebates for installing central air conditioning or heat pumps in already existing homes and businesses are available to residential and small commercial customers. Additionally, a separate lighting program is available to commercial customers who reduce their facility demand. Details on all offerings are available on the program web site. Incentives are offered to customers in the form of bill credits.

Black Hills Energy offers its residential Iowa customers incentives to encourage energy efficiency in their homes. Rebates are offered for certain energy efficient appliances and thermostats as well as insulation and maintenance measures. Through Minnesota Power's Triple E New Construction Program, homeowners and builders can qualify for special incentive rebates by meeting specific energy standards on new home construction. These standards cover thermal integrity (insulation, windows and doors, exterior wind barriers), airtight construction, moisture control, appliances, lighting, ventilation, and heating system performance for air and water. Barron Electric Cooperative (BEC) offers rebates to any member receiving electrical service for the purchase of Energy Star appliances, energy efficient lighting, heat pumps and water heaters. All appliance rebates are $25 dollars, and additional $25 rebate is available for refrigerator, freezer, or room air conditioner recycling. Lighting rebates vary on LED bulbs, LED fixtures and indoor and outdoor LED lighting. Measures such as sensors and smart strips are also available through this program. Heat Pump Retrofit: Customers can receive up to a $750 rebate for installing a new air-to-air pump if they are replacing a ceiling cable, baseboard or electric furnace heat source. The new heater must meet certain qualifications.

Grayson Rural Electric Cooperative provides a variety of rebates to its residential customers for increasing their energy efficiency. This includes the Heat Pump Retrofit Program, the Button-Up Weatherization Program, and the ENERGY STAR Manufactured Home Program. Additionally, GREC provides the SimpleSaver program, which gives rebates to customers who reduce their use of air conditioners during peak times. GREC also provides the Community Assistance Resources for Energy Savings (CARES) program, which provides an incentive of up to $2,000 to households for weatherization and energy efficiency measures through their local Kentucky Community Action Agencies (CAA) network.
