MidAmerican Energy - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

MidAmerican Energy offers instant discounts and rebates to qualifying residential customers in Illinois to help encourage investments in energy-efficient home equipment. The instant discounts are automatically applied at purchase when you buy eligible equipment (such as heat pumps, central air conditioners, geothermal systems, heat pump water heaters, or natural gas furnaces) from participating dealers and installers. The rebates are available after installation for ENERGY STAR® certified appliances and systems such as air purifiers, washers/dryers, refrigerators, smart thermostats, and more.


To be eligible, equipment must be purchased, installed, and operational within the 2025 calendar year, and rebate applications must be submitted

Wind Access and Permitting Law

In July 2009, the Delaware legislature enacted a law (HS 1 for H.B. 70) prohibiting unreasonable public and private restrictions on the installation of wind energy systems on single-family residential properties. The prohibition includes restrictions put in place by county and local governments; homeowner's associations; and organizations formed for the management of commonly owned properties. The provisions apply only to wind energy systems that qualify for support under the state Green Energy Fund -- which offers incentives for residential wind energy systems -- or similar programs administered by Delaware's State Energy Office.

Delaware Solar Rights Law

In July 2009 Delaware enacted legislation prohibiting private covenants (i.e., homeowner's association rules) from restricting the use of roof or ground-mounted solar systems on privately owned residential dwellings. The law was amended in 2019 with the passage of HB 65, which voided all prior covenants or restrictions regardless of the date recorded (previously, legal instruments prohibiting solar recorded before January 1, 2010 were enforceable). 

Although the wording of the legislation refers generally to "solar energy", the title of the bill references only photovoltaic (PV) systems as eligible for these protections. Only single-family residential structures which are not considered common

TVA Partner Utilities - Energy Right Heat Pump Program

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) energy right Heat Pump Plan provides financing to promote the installation of high efficiency heat pumps in homes and small businesses. Installation, performance, and weatherization standards ensure the appropriate sizing of equipment and operation of the system. TVA maintains a Quality Contractor Network (QCN) from which customers can choose an installer. Through a third-party lender, TVA provides financing for residential heat pumps with repayment on the customer’s electric bill and a term of up to 10 years. The programs are independently administered by local power companies served by TVA.

Lane Electric Cooperative - Manufactured Homes Rebate Program

Lane Electric Cooperative offers its customers an incentive for buying a new, permanent residence, EnergyStar manufactured home within service area. Qualifying customers may receive up to $500 if they submit to Lane Electric the following documentation:

  • The Energy-Star rebate coupon
  • A copy of the sales receipt
  • A copy of the Energy-Star Certificate within 90 days of installation

National Fuel (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebates

Note: Applications for program year 2024 must be submitted by March 31, 2025, to receive a rebate. 

National Fuel offers pre-qualified equipment rebates for the installation of certain energy efficiency measures to residential customers in Western New York. Incentives are available for furnaces, steam and hot water boilers, storage and tankless water heaters, and wifi thermostats that meet the program's minimum efficiency requirements.

Program rebates are available for existing single-family, multi-family and mobile homes and condominiums. New constructions are not eligible for the program. Properties with 5 or more units must apply to the Non-Residential program.

Denton Municipal Electric - GreenSense Solar PV/Thermal Rebate Program

 Note: As of December 2020, funding for solar rebates has been exhausted and the program is suspended; additional funding may be supplied in October 2021.

Denton Municipal Electric (DME) offers rebates to its electric customers for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar water heating systems. The solar rebates are designed for residential and small commercial customers and are available for both existing buildings and new construction. Applicants must be a home or rental property owner.

The following requirements apply to the PV rebate:

  • Applicant must contact Program Manager to receive Interconnection Agreement, Application for Interconnection Packet, and GreenSense
